They can launch in shallow water because the trailer holds the boat from the deck, not the pontoons. Safety Tips
Always follow the recommended safety protocols to avoid injury as well as damage to your boat while towing it to and from your lake. When purchasing a scissor-style trailer, make sure to get the sturdiest trailer available. We recommend a tandem axle for four wheels on the road for the best balance.
Single axle trailers are the cheapest option. They only have the minimum of two wheels required for towing, but they also have a high risk of tipping when transporting your boat.
Test your trailer by seeing how much you can move it with your bare hands. See if you can wobble the trailer or lift and tip it yourself. If you can, we would recommend finding a more stable model to reduce your chances of tipping or other accident that may occur.
